Yum Brands bounce back

  Yum Brands Inc has reported a 19 per cent increase in second quarter profits as its business at KFC in China continues to rebound amid concerns about food safety. The Louisville, Kentucky-based company, which also operates Taco Bell and Pizza Hut, reported that net income was $US334 million ($A361.37 million), or 73 US cents per share, compared with $US281 million, or 61 US cents per share, in the same quarter in 2013.
