Suzanne Grae faces NZ closure

Australian fashion chain, Suzanne Grae, is considering a withdrawal from the New Zealand market, just one year after launching.

Part of the Sussan Group, there are 19 Suzanne Grae stores across the country.

Six of the stores were converted from the Sussan brand following the failure of Sussan in the NZ market. Sussan first opened in NZ in 2006.

Outgoing Suzanne Grae CEO, Carole Molyneux, said the company will undertake consultations with staff before making a final decision on the fate of the chain.

Molyneux has been CEO of Suzanne Grae for 18 years and parts way with the company in May.

She will be succeeded by the company’s GM buying, Suzanne Scozzi.
