Three stores are set to open initially under the Sports Direct banner across Australia and New Zealand, to be accompanied by e-commerce.
MySale Group is the operator of Australian private shopping club, Ozsale. The business was listed on London’s Stock Exchange in June, after Sir Phillip Green, owner of Topshop, purchased a 25 per cent stake in the business.
Sports Direct has an almost five per cent share in the company and is believed to be teaming up with Ozsale in order to open Australian and NZ websites before the end of 2014, ahead of a physical store opening in 2015.
Sports Direct is no stranger to international operations, with stores in 19 European countries outside of the UK.
