Aventus Property Group will begin work on the major retail refurbishment of its first level at the Tuggerah Super Centre, bringing total investments in the centre to over $23 million since acquiring the centre in 2015.
With re-development works due for completion in mid-2018, the centre will expand by over 10,000sqm and span across two levels while new retailers will be added to the tenancy mix.
“We’re excited to welcome many new faces to Tuggerah Super Centre, including James Lane Furniture, Oz Education Early Learning Centre (STCA), and the exciting relocation and expansion of our existing Spotlight store,” said centre manager Julie Meehan.
“The re-opening of the level one carpark will make available over 120 additional convenient car spaces for customers.”
The redevelopment will add an additional 11 retailers, according to Aventus, taking the centre to a mix of over 30 national and independent brands including Services NSW, NRMA, Bunnings, Spotlight, Fantastic Furniture, The Good Guys and Adairs.
Since Aventus’ acquisition of the centre, there has been growth in Tuggerah’s large format retail precinct with retailers reporting strong sales and LFL comparable growth.
“The 22 existing retailers have been trading very well in the 15 months since the ground floor re-development finished and as a result, we have been able to bring forward the commencement of our level one refurbishment works,” Meehan said.
