Luxury leather goods brand, Tod’s, will open its first Australian store in April. To be located at Westfield Sydney, the flagship is the first standalone store for the Italian brand in Australia, having previously only been stocked by department stores. The store is expected to be trading by mid-April, and will carry Tod’s latest footwear and accessories collections for both men and women. The local presence will replicate the brand’s global retail footprint, following a similar fit
out and design.
Management for its Australian retail division will remain in Hong Kong, however, it is represented locally by Sydney-based public relations firm, Torstar Communications.
While its bricks and mortar debut has flown under the radar, a local spokesperson for the brand said the label may consider a second store for the Australian market, most likely in Melbourne.
It may also introduce its men’s and women’s clothing lines to its Westfield Sydney store.
Tod’s has flagships around the world in Europe, the US, China, Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong, and Indonesia. The brand is owned by Tod’s Group, which also operates luxury brands Hogan, Fay, and Roger Vivier.
