Thorn appoints director

 

business, handshakeFinancial services company, Thorn Group Limited, has appointed former Suncorp Bank CEO, David Foster, as a non-executive director effective from December 1.

Foster has had a 25 year career in financial services, with experience spanning management, distribution, technology, and marketing in retail banking, and for a five year period from 2008 Foster was CEO of Suncorp Bank.

During his 11 year career at Suncorp Bank, Foster had responsibility for developing the bank’s strategy and business model, acquisitions, product development, and implementation of a significant technology platform.

Chair of Thorn, Joycelyn Morton, said Foster was a quality candidate and would bring valuable expertise and experience to the board as well as input to Thorn’s further development as a financial services company.

Foster will be appointed chair of the Audit, Risk, and Compliance Committee.

Thorn Group will announce its results for the six months to March 31 on November 18.
