The Coffee Club plays ball

Firebirds players with The Coffee Club CEO Jason Ball and Netball Queensland CEO Catherine Clark and junior NetSetGo playersThe Coffee Club will become official ball partner of the ANZ Championship and naming rights partner of the Queensland Firebirds in 2016.

Teaming up with Netball Queensland, the coffee chain group will also become a partner of the grassroots ANZ NetSetGo programme, which encourages participation in junior netball.

“The Coffee Club is thrilled to be on board with Netball Queensland as naming rights partner of the Queensland Firebirds and state sponsor of the ANZ NetSetGo program,” said The Coffee Club CEO, Jason Ball.

“As Australia’s largest home-grown café group, we are proud to be associated with one of the most popular female sports in Australia and New Zealand, and committed to supporting not only the current Queensland Firebirds, but also the Firebirds of the future.

“The Coffee Club is also excited to be involved with the world’s premier netball competition as the Official Ball partner, across Australia and New Zealand in the ANZ Championship league. There is a very strong and clear alignment of our brand values, our customers and the opportunities presented by our new Netball relationships.”

Queensland Firebirds and Netball Queensland CEO, Catherine Clark, said the new sponsorship recognises the team’s outstanding success and contribution to raising the profile of netball in Australia.

Firebirds players Laura Geitz, Romelda Aiken, Gretel Tippett, Gabi Simpson, Laura Clemesha, Beryl Friday and head coach Roselee Jencke were in attendance at the sponsorship announcement at The Coffee Club’s flagship store on Eagle St Pier in Brisbane.
