Telstra makes a play for smart home market

Telstra is making a play for the connected home appliance market, last week unveiling 10 internet connected devices that can be controlled via smartphone, tablet or desktop computer. The Telstra Smart Home platform will go on sale later this year, and while the technology itself isn’t new, it marks a retail move by the telco giant into the burgeoning connected home category, which is predicted to be worth $3.2 billion by 2019. Telstra’s smart home products, which were developed with US-based
