Shopping centre gets Vicinity rebranding

Lake HavenLake Haven Centre in NSW is launching its rebranding as part of joining the Vicinity Centres network on October 14.

Vicinity Centres, created out of the merger in 2015 between Federation Centres and Novion Property Group, manages over $23 billion in assets across 86 shopping centres.

A new logo and name change has been established to mark the transformation of the Lake Haven shopping centre.

“Over the past week our customers may have noticed a new ribbon swirl appear on the outside of our shopping centre and on signage throughout the mall,” said Mike Cochrane, Lake Haven centre manager.

“The ribbon swirl is inspired by giving, celebration, recognition and that personal touch. These are things that have always been important to us at Lake Haven Centre, so we believe the new name and logo is just business as usual,” he said.

Cochrane said as part of the new Vicinity Centres, they have a shared purpose of ‘enriching community experiences’, including the experiences within their communities, consumers, retailers and staff.

“Vicinity is by definition a ‘place’ name – the place to shop, the place to meet, the place to dine and the place to go,” he said.

“Lake Haven Centre is ‘in the Vicinity’ of our customers’ home and work and is a convenient and family friendly destination for shopping, dining and entertainment.”

The centre will celebrate the new brand on October 14, with the Woongarrah Public School performing a ribbon and Maypole Dance.
