Shoes of Prey heads to the US

 

shoesofpreyAustralian customised footwear e-tailer, Shoes of Prey, has partnered with upmarket US department store, Nordstrom, to open concession stores in six major locations including Washington, New Jersey, and California.

The first Shoes of Prey Design Studio at Nordstrom will open on November 17 at Nordstrom’s Bellevue Square location in Washington, against the back wall of the department store’s shoe floor. The remaining concept studios are expected to rollout by early 2015.

The e-tailer, which enables shoppers to design their own shoes, opened its first physical store in Australia with a concession at David Jones’ flagship Sydney store in January 2013, and is reportedly planning to open a second outlet at Westfield Bondi Junction.

“We are fulfilling a current demand where customers are looking to participate in the design process to get exactly what they want. Together we see customisation and manufacturing on demand as the future of retail,” Shoes of Prey CEO and co-founder, Michael Fox, said.

Future locations for the Shoes of Prey Design Studio include Paramus, New Jersey; Pentagon City, Virginia; Oakbrook, Illinois; Fashion Island, California; and San Francisco Center, California.
