Tommy Hilfiger taps ex-Hollister VP Tommy Hilfiger has appointed Michael Scheiner as chief marketing officer, effective immediately. He will relocate to the company’s headquarters in Amsterdam. Scheiner has more than 15 years of experience in global brands, most recently with Hollister where he was SVP of global marketing. Changes at the top for Nike
Nike has announced that John Donahoe will be appointed president and CEO, effective January 13. At the same time, Mark Parker, CEO since 2006 and chairman, president and CEO since 2016, will become executive chairman, BusinessWire reports.
Parker will continue to lead the board of directors and work closely with Donahoe and the senior management team.
Donahoe is the current president and CEO of ServiceNow, a US cloud computing company with its headquarters in Santa Clara, California, and also serves on its board. He is also chairman of PayPal Holdings.
From 2008 through 2015, he was president and CEO of eBay and previously was the CEO and worldwide managing director of Bain and Co from 1999 to 2005 and a managing director from 1992 to 1999.
BWS goes for experience
Woolworths Group is strengthening its drinks arm ahead of a proposed divestment from the group in 2020, with one of its experienced supermarket leaders appointed to lead BWS.
Scott Davidson will take up the position of managing director of the liquor retail chain in January, after two years as general manager of buying and merchandise at Countdown Supermarkets.
Davidson’s career with Woolworths Group spans almost 15 years, with experience in merchandising across fresh food, grocery food and liquor.
His appointment comes ahead of an extraordinary general meeting on December 16, in which shareholders will be asked to consider stage one of the proposal to merge and separate Woolworths’ drinks and hospitality businesses as Endeavour Group.
Endeavour Drinks has been actively searching for a new leader for BWS since Woolworths Group confirmed the appointment of Guy Brent as managing director of FoodCo and Metro in July this year.
Davidson will focus on driving ultra-convenience and customer-first ranging and renewals across the 1300+ store network.
