Rental chain replaces chairman

 

Radio rentalsDavid Carter will step down as chairman of Thorn Group, owner of the Radio Rentals and Rentlo chains.

He will be replaced by fellow Thorn Director, Joycelyn Morton, who will take over on August 26.

Carter’s departure is part of Thorn’s board renewal process, initiated four years ago. He will remain on the board until December 31.

Morton has been chair of the board’s audit, risk, and compliance committee since being appointed a Thorn director in October 2011.

She has extensive business experience in Australia and internationally, and has been a past national president of CPA Australia, is chair of Noni B, and is a non-executive director of Argo Investments and Snowy Hydro.

Thorn has commenced a search for a non-executive director to replace Carter and assume the chair of the audit, risk, and compliance committee.
