GPT Group Head of Retail resigns

Property group GPT has announced the resignations of its head of retail, Vanessa Orth.

GPT Group chief executive Bob Johnston said Orth played a pivotal role in leading the retail division during a period of significant change in the retail investment and management landscape.

“Vanessa has done a great job in driving key initiatives within the retail division that will play an important role in the future success of our retail assets,” Johnston said.

“Vanessa leaves the retail portfolio in good shape, and we extend to her our best wishes for her future success.”

During it’s recent half-yearly report, GPT noted its retail portfolio reported comparable income growth of 2.3 per cent – a drop from the previous comparable periods 3.8 per cent growth.

Fourty-eight new retail brands were added to the group’s portfolio during the period, which recorded a valuation increase of $53.5 million during the six-month time frame.

Orth will be taking up the position of non-aeronautical chief commercial officer at Sydney Airport Corporation.
