Premium brands flock to SA outlet centre

The stores will be Calvin Klein’s second in South Australia and Tommy Hilfiger’s eighth outlet store nationally.

Harbour Town, which hosts more than 130 outlet stores, said it has been receiving more interest from up-market brands as late, with Van Heusen set to open a store next month.

It comes after Ralph Lauren launched its first South Australian stand alone store in the centre last month.

Harbour Town centre manager Tania Rucioch said increased demand for premium labels at affordable prices had driven centre moving annual turnover up 5.4 per cent to the end of March, compared to the prior corresponding period.

“We’re now fielding more and more calls from premium brands wanting to secure a permanent spot here,” she said.

“Our customers’ top requests include big brands such as Tommy Hilfiger, Calvin Klein, Polo Ralph Lauren, Peter Alexander, Witchery, Review, House & Garden and Politix – which have all recently been secured by our leasing team.”
