Online retailer secures entrepreneur as chairman

Australian online electronics retailer, OHKI, has appointed entrepreneur and start-up business specialist, Siimon Reynolds, to the position of chairman.

Co-founder and co-director of OHKI, Lucas McEntee, welcomed Reynolds’s appointment and said it would assist the company to expand and build upon its aggressive growth strategy.

“Siimon Reynolds is one of the most accomplished and respected entrepreneurs, and a brilliant creative mind to have working with the OHKI team,” McEntee said. “Siimon brings a wealth of experience and an advanced skill set that will further help OHKI become the number one online electronics and appliance retailer in Australia,” he added.

Reynolds will bring more than 20 years business experience to the role, having been largely responsible for founding, developing and evolving a range of high-profile start-ups.

His resume includes roles within the marketing and advertising sector, during which he was a co-founder of the Photon Group and various other businesses.

Reynolds said he was confident that, with the continued growth of the online retail sector, OHKI would maintain its rapid growth trajectory, attracting strong interest from consumers, market analysts and investors along the way.

“OHKI is at the forefront of a maturing Australian online retail market and is one of the more promising business stories I come across for some time. Given its already exponential growth and strategic focus on becoming Australia’s number one online retailer, I am looking forward to a bright future with OHKI,” Reynolds said.

OHKI was co-founded by McEntee and Jason Littlewood in late 2010. The two saw an opportunity to build an Australian electronics retailer and home appliances dedicated to offering customers with choice in terms of product ranges at the best value and with strong customer service. The company began selling a single TV online in 2010 and has grown rapidly to now offer a wide range of products.
