Saltwater Wine and Stormriders has won surf retailer of the year during the 2016 SBIA Surf Industry Awards.

Hosted by the Surf & Boardsports Industry Association (SBIA), the 2016 SBIA Surf Industry Awards recognised over 200 retailers and brands in Australia with 30 awards to acknowledge the high achievers of the Australian surf industry. The NSW mid north coast’s Saltwater Wine and Stormriders bagged the Australian Surf Retailer of the Year award for the second year in a row and New South Wales Retailer of the Year for the fifth consecutive year.

“We have an amazing team across our stores, head office and warehouse and it’s greatly deserved kudos for everyone,” said Anthony Wilson, business owner.

“From the weekend shop grommet to our HO team and everyone in between it’s a fantastic honour to be recognised by our industry brands,” Wilson said.

Four times world surfing champion and legend of the sport, Mark Richards, was presented the prestigious “Service to Industry Award” during the awards night; Billabong won Men’s and Ladies’ Brand of the Year and Rip Curl took out Boardshort of the Year.
