NoodleBoxAustralian noodle chain, Noodle Box, has confirmed the opening of its second restaurant in Mauritius, following the brand’s success of its first international store that  open in September in last year.

Located  in the Bagatelle – Mall of Mauritius complex, Noodle Box have partnered with Hyvec Food, who expect to open their third outlet by the end of September 2013.

“We are delighted to have partnered with two outstanding groups to commence our international expansion. We are confident that Noodle Box’s flexible format will prove extremely successful internationally and we look forward to identifying and working with new partners to build the Noodle Box brand to other markets in the Region.” said Ian Martin, CEO Noodle Box

Tanvir Adamjee, MD, Hyvec Foods said the aim of Hyvec Food is to position key international brands in the most popular malls of Mauritius.

“Bagatelle is one of these malls, centrally located, with probably the highest footfall on the island and famous for its open and spacious food court layout. It is also a place where tourists visit and the young generation hang out, with its cafes and branded shops.” Adamjee said.

“Mauritius is a multicultural island, hence food habits have been diversified amongst cultures. The Mauritian people have accepted fried noodles and fried rice as part of their cuisine. It’s freshly cooked, quick to serve and is inexpensive.

“The Noodle Box concept fits in well because of existing eating habits, the choice of new Asian inspired flavors, the packaging and also as an international brand it is to say ‘in’ for the young new generation to eat this type of food in a food court as it is branded.”

Further international expansion is on the horizon for Noodle Box with the first of two restaurants to be opened in Saudi Arabia by February 2014.

Noodle Box have partnered with master franchisor Dar Al Himmah for Food in a deal struck to bring 65 restaurants to five Middle Eastern markets over the next seven years.
