XtrackTV’s digital broadcast network is comprised of 62 LED screens, featuring full motion video and audio capabilities, designed to entertain commuters while they wait for the train (a recognised high dwell time environment).
The introduction of XtrackTV allows advertisers to extend multi-screen campaigns from television, cinema, and online to the rail platform – a first of its kind in the Australian outdoor industry.
XtrackTV will operate in a network on a rotational display model. A 2.5 minute loop has been designed specifically for XtrackTV to ensure commuter have optimal opportunity experience each creative while waiting on the platform.
Samsung, Virgin Mobile, NIB, and 2K are among the inaugural advertisers.
Richard Herring, CEO of APN Outdoor, called the network a milestone.

APN Outdoor’s 62 XtrackTV panels are strategically located on busy rail platforms in key CBD stations including Bondi Junction, Edgecliff, Kings Cross, Martin Place, Town Hall, Central, Wynyard, North Sydney, and Chatswood in Sydney, and Melbourne Central, Parliament and Flagstaff in Melbourne.
