New Eastland reveals tenants

Eastland 3South African fashion retailer, Mr Price (MRP), will open its second Melbourne store at Eastland, joining a number of Australian and international retailers opening within the redeveloped centre.

In August, MRP announced it would open its first two stores in Australia, the first being a standalone store at Melbourne Central shopping centre.

Eastland has revealed which Australian and international fashion brands will be joining the new development in spring 2015, with Scanlan Theodore confirming it will open its first boutique beyond Melbourne CBD.

Names in Australian fashion soon to call Eastland home include Sass & Bide, Camilla, Oroton, Gorman, Calibre, Jack London, Morrison, Mecca Cosmetica and Mecca Maxima along with international brands including Marimekko, MAC and Victoria’s Secret Beauty and Accessories.

Eastland will bring Melbourne’s boutique scene to Ringwood, with brands including, Skin & Threads, Alpha 60, Dolci Firme, Rodeo Show, Martin York and Scotch & Soda joining high street brands.

H&M and Uniqlo have also confirmed their arrival in the new Eastland as part of its $665 million transformation.

Centre manager of the new Eastland, Steve Edgerton, said the introduction of such premium fashion brands was an example of the new Eastland offering.

“Beyond fashion, more than 40 per cent of the new brands opening later this year are not currently available in Melbourne’s East. The new Eastland will offer local access to brands previously available only in the CBD or inner Melbourne strips like Chapel Street or High Street Armadale,” Edgerton said.

Stage one of the development will launch in late 2015, with stage two due for completion in mid 2016.
