Mountain Designs opens store in Brisbane CBD

mountain designsOutdoor clothing specialty retailer, Mountain Designs, has opened its newest store in Brisbane’s Edward Street retail hub.

The retailer has subleased a 125sqm shopfront in the burgeoning retail precinct to accommodate its new CBD premises.

Mountain Designs CEO Caroline Machado Campos said the company was pleased with the store’s new location being in proximity to other premium brands.

“Edward Street provides a wonderful opportunity for us to showcase the innovation, style and quality that our brand produces and is heavily featured in our new 2016 winter range,” she said.

“With exclusive, innovative apparel such as corespun merino, technical dri-release cashmere and the truly amazing seawool, made using recycled oyster shells, our brand will fit nicely into a shopping precinct where customers appreciate quality.”

The short-term sublease is until May 2017, when the Edward Street property is set to be redeveloped.

“This property represented an outstanding opportunity for Mountain Designs to gain a footprint in one of the city’s most frequented shopping destinations,” said Daniel Fenech of CBRE, who negotiated the deal.
