LS Travel Retail strengthens team

Ken TseLS Travel Retail Pacific has appointed Ken Tse as head of operations, duty free and luxury, effective February 23.

In his new role, Tse will report to the duty free GM, Ivo Favotto, and will initially assist with the set up of LS travel retail Pacific’s Auckland operations in a project management role.

Tse has recently returned to Australia from Singapore after spending 13 years with Nuance Watson as MD of the Singapore operation, and has an extensive background in duty free and luxury retailing.

He will be based in Melbourne and responsible for overseeing all duty free and luxury operations including a new duty free concession at Auckland Airport, and existing duty free operations in Adelaide, Gold Coast, Queenstown and Dunedin Airports, and specialty luxury stores in Sydney, Melbourne, Cairns, and Perth.

In Tse’s former role he pioneered significant developments in duty free categories, including introducing a number of exclusive brands to the Asia Pacific market.

LS travel retail Pacific operates in more than 30 countries throughout Europe, North America, Asia and the Pacific, and is a division of Lagardère Services, is a world leader in travel retail.

It operates more than 4100 stores across the world, including a presence at over 150 airports and 700 stations. It runs the largest international network of duty free and luxury, travel essentials and food service stores.

Throughout Asia Pacific LS travel retail operates more than 250 outlets, partnering with over 16 airports in Australia, New Zealand, New Caledonia, Singapore, Malaysia, China, Hong Kong and India.
