Lovisa appoints new director

LovisaJewellery retailer, Lovisa, has appointed James King as an independent non-executive director.

King will chair the Audit, Business Risk and Compliance Commitee.

King has over 30 years’ experience as a director and executive in major multinational corporations in and out of Australia.

“We are delighted that Jim has accepted the board’s invitation to join Lovisa during what is expected to be time of significant growth as it expands its international store network,” said Michael Kay, Lovisa’s chair.

“Jim has a strong record of success as an executive and non-executive director in public companies within the retail sector,” Kay said.

He was previously with Foster’s Group Limited as managing director of Carlton & United Breweries and managing director of Foster’s Asia. Before he joined Foster’s, King spent six years in Hong Kong as president of Kraft Foods (Asia Pacific).

He is currently a non-executive director of Pacific Brands, Navitas Ltd. and a member of Global Coaching Partnership. Previously, King was a director at JB Hi-Fi Limited, Trust Company Ltd., a member of the Council of Xavier College and chairman of Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (Victoria).
