Katy Perry pops up

Katy PerryKaty Perry has launched a temporary pop up store in Australia to give her fans the chance to see props and costumes from her previous concert tours.

The pop star is currently on tour Down Under and has set up the temporary shop in Melbourne, where fans can buy exclusive merchandise and see an exhibition of her stage show memorabilia.

The items on display include a cupcake dress worn on her California Dreams world tour, a robot from the E.T. music promo and a giant banana that Perry sat on while hosting the MTV European Music Awards in 2008.

Perry has hinted she will make an appearance at the store.

“Aussies my first pop up shop is now open in Melbourne. Exclusive merchandise and props from Hello Katy & California Dreams Tours. Also you never know who might do a pop in to the pop up” Perry tweeted on Wednesday.

The store will be open for the next six days, before moving to Sydney for a week long stay beginning on November 21.
