Woolworths appointment of Brad Banducci as its new CEO – after a lengthy search period – has drawn a mixed response.

Over the last couple of weeks, Inside Retail has asked readers if Brad Banducci is the right man to lead Woolworths out of its malaise. The results of that survey are detailed below:

Banducci’s selection as Woolies’ new leader was endorsed by 34 per cent of voters.

21 per cent were underwhelmed with this ‘safe’ appointment and voted “no”.

32 per cent thought Woolworths should have brought in an external executive to run the business.

And 10 per cent were undecided.
