Ikea opens stand-alone planning studio in Singapore

Ikea Singapore has launched a stand-alone specialist showroom in partnership with Livspace at Jurong Point.

Spanning 65sqm, the studio was modelled after a three-room HDB flat that has been designed for small-scale living space. It houses space-saving kitchens, living room smart storage solutions and fitted wardrobes.

Ikea Jurong Point offers move-in-ready packages that provide renovation and construction services as well as Ikea home furnishings planning. Decor and furnishings will be refreshed periodically throughout the year so customers can receive new inspirations to start transforming their own homes.

“Together with Livspace, we hope to provide a more accessible and personalised experience with technology, which will allow customers to achieve their dream home,” said Jaap Doornbos, retail director at Ikea Singapore and Philippines.

“With the current economic situation, this is especially important, and we see this as a big step in improving the traditional interior design planning process in Singapore.”

The store also features Livspace Smart Photos, which helps customers to envision and estimate budget for their home designs. Customers can use QR codes to scan the room and change the products in their preference. The room price will also be updated in real-time.
