H&M to open Australian-first outlet store

h&mSwedish fashion retailer H&M is set to open its first outlet store in Australia at Liverpool’s Fashion Spree Factory Outlet Centre.

H&M Fashion Spree will open its doors on Thursday, August 16, four years after the first Australian H&M store opened in Melbourne’s GPO shopping centre.

The store will span 345sqm, one of the largest footprints in Fashion Spree, and will offer H&M’s garment collecting initiative, allowing customers to recycle old garments to support a more sustainable future. Customers can drop off old clothing or textiles, from any brand and in any condition, and will receive a voucher reward for a future purchase.

“We are excited to be welcoming this iconic global brand to Fashion Spree,” said Felicity Kendall, Fashion Spree’s senior marketing manager.

“This will be a must-visit for Sydney’s fashionistas.”

Part of the landmark The Grove Liverpool, the centre comprises of over 60 international and Australian retailers with offerings ranging from fashion and accessories, footwear, sports streetwear and children’s clothing, as well as a range of homewares and kitchen items.

H&M will join such other brands as Glue, Bardot, Cotton On, Country Road, Converse, and Supre in the outlet centre, approximately 32 kms west of Sydney’s CBD.
