H&M to open at Rundle Mall Plaza

h&mSwedish fashion chain Hennes & Mauritz (H&M) will open its first South Australian store at Rundle Mall Plaza, Adelaide, in the second half of 2018.

“We can’t wait to finally introduce the unique shopping experience that is H&M to Adelaide and we look forward to connecting with our new customers,” said Hans Andersson, Australian country manager for H&M.

H&M operates 26 stores across the country and has announced further stores at Mandurah Forum, WA and the Cat and Fiddle Arcade, TAS.

The global retailer’s first Adelaide store comes as part of the extensive redevelopment of Rundle Mall Plaza, commenced by centre owner The Weinert Group in 2017. The new look shopping destination is planned to be completed in the second half of 2018.

“There is no doubt the time is right for this important redevelopment of the Plaza and introduction of this outstanding new H&M store into South Australia,” said Weinert Group executive director Peter Weinert.

“The completed development will provide a unique shopping experience and with H&M as the major tenant, we expect Rundle Mall Plaza to not only be a significant drawcard for Rundle Mall in particular, but Adelaide in general.”
