H&M sets date for NY flagship
Located at 589 Fifth Avenue, the 57,000sqft store will be set over five floors and feature large LED screens, green and white marble tiles, a wall of mirrors, herringbone wood work, and a full concierge shopping service.
The museum inspired store will be the first to showcase the fashion brand’s first ever artist collaboration with American artist, Jeff Koons.
Danielle Kulle, US president for H&M, said they are proud to celebrate the unveiling of the largest flagship in the US on Fifth Avenue.
“We are proud to celebrate the unveiling of our largest flagship in the US on Fifth Avenue, with the announcement of our sponsorship of the Whitney Museum of American Art and Jeff Koons, who has designed our limited edition Balloon Dog leather handbag.
“It is such an honor to have the vision of this prolific and world renowned artist on display and as the storefront facade of the new H&M Fifth Avenue,” she said.
The store will also be the brand’s first store in the New York area to offer a H&M Home department in addition to collections for women, men, and teens, as well as separate store within store sections for accessories, and lingerie. It will also feature the Swedish retailer’s children’s collection.
