Harris Scarfe to overhaul apparel category

Harris Scarfe Harris Scarfe will restructure its men’s and women’s fashion ranges to focus on price, brand and quality starting spring/summer 2017.

For spring/summer 2017, Harris Scarfe will offer its customers an improved fashion range with new lower prices and multi-buy deals. It also plans to enhance its store offering by frequent stock updates.

“We have rationalised our product, with each brand now providing a definitive purpose and direction,” said Nicole Naccarella, general manager of fashion at Harris Scarfe. “The brands have improved on the attention to detail and quality, from hemlines to cut, fabric, and the feel and flow of garments.”

Naccarella said the pricing structure for men’s and women’s fashion has been benchmarked against key competitors, producing a, “compelling market offering”.

She said Harris Scarfe will continue to offer discounted products throughout the store, with 30 per cent off fashion accessories and handbags, 30 per cent off women’s footwear, 40 per cent off all bras, 40 to 60 per cent off all homewares and manchester and 15 to 40 per cent off all electrical items.

“We have accepted the challenge to keep ahead of the curve with a new, more browse-able way of shopping at Harris Scarfe. There is a growing trend for mainstream fashion lovers to purchase great pieces that offer great value,” Naccarella said.

Simon Burrett, Harris Scarfe’s general manager of marketing, said the overhaul was designed to meet the changing needs and expectations of the Harris Scarfe customers.

“Harris Scarfe has driven change and realigned to become more customer-centric. This is at the core of our re-boot offering,” Burrett said.

“The strategic plan driving this campaign is also powering the growth of the department store. An expanding national footprint, including store refurbishments and the evolution of Harris Scarfe store aesthetics. We continue to offer customers a compelling shopping experience,” he said.
