Groupon king of group buying

Independent research company, Telsyte’s Australian Online Group Buying Study Q3 2012, has named Groupon Australia’s leading group buying site for the third quarter in a row.

In an industry generating $117 million in revenue in Q3 2012, according to Telsyte, Groupon Australia finished the quarter with 26 per cent market share – a five per cent from its top spot at the end of last quarter.

Groupon Australia and New Zealand CEO, Tobias Teuber, attributed the result to Groupon Australia’s “steadfast commitment to our merchants and customers, combined with our internal efforts to continually innovate and improve”.

“Groupon Australia recently launched an online dashboard for merchants which provides local businesses with valuable customer insights in real-time, helping them to measure their ROI from partnering with Groupon.

This is just one of many technological developments to come,” said Teuber.
