The Good Guys director retires

 

The Good GuysDirector of The Good Guys board, Ray Turner, has stepped down after nearly 10 years in the role.

The Good Guys said the electrical industry has benefitted greatly from “Ray’s strong management, knowledge, and stewardship over his long career”.

“He has been a thoughtful mentor to many on all sides of the industry; retailer proprietors, suppliers and retail executives, and to younger entrants to the industry,” The Good Guys said.

Turner first joined the retail industry as company secretary for Errol Stewarts Warehouses in Queensland before becoming GM. He has also held positions as MD of Billy Guyatts in Melbourne, and MD of Retravison, Victoria for 15 years.

“Ray’s extensive retail experience, business acumen and energy have been wonderful assets to The Good Guys, and the board, management and all company stakeholders sincerely thank Ray for his contribution to our success and we wish him a very happy and rewarding retirement,” the company said.
