Shopping and international fashion website Club QT is celebrating its first birthday by expanding its service offer to fashion brands and shoppers.
Club QT aims to let online shoppers “rummage through the international fashion racks” by showcasing thousands of clothes, shoes and accessories from hundreds of online stores in the US and Uk.
Founder, London-born Mandy Sigaloff, created the site to give Australians access to the labels she missed from her home country and it’s grown to include 150 brands and a ‘virtual fitting room’ for shoppers to create their own look. It attracts about 30,000 shoppers a month.
Now Club QT is set to launch ‘ The Club QT Shopping Mall’ which will enable any Australian or New Zealand retailer to add their store to Club QT’s online offering for from $250 a month.
Local retailers can have their own dedicated ‘Store Page’ which will include sizing, shipping information, store reviews, as well as a full feature pages of the brands’ fashion products.
Sigaloff says she is keen to bring homegrown brands in to the Club QT mix.
“These stores will be promoted in the ‘Buy Local’ section of the site as well as in the main international directory, attracting sales from overseas as well as the dedicated Australian/New Zealand shopper. This will enable local fashion brands the opportunity to sit within the Club QT ‘Mall’ alongside international designers and renowned retailers,” she said.
“Australian online retailers have limited avenues to attract shoppers to their site. Club QT’s Shopping Mall offers retailers the opportunity to place their online store next to international brands such as Superdry, Top Shop, Asos, and Bloomingdales. We are aiming to create an equal footing for local retailers and give them a shot at competing with international stores.”
In February, Club QT will also launch Australia’s first desktop shopping loyalty card. The ClubQT Privilege Cardwill enable members to access exclusive discounts offers and rewards direct from their computers; once downloaded the Privilege Card will enable shoppers to comparison-shop across sites such as eBay and Club QT stores.
“The Club QT Privilege Card’ will offer members a unique shopping experience, with shopping loyalty being rewarded directly with offers and discounts direct to your desktop. Comparative shopping will become easier enabling shoppers to find what they are looking for in a faster more efficient way.”
Club QT was launched in March 2011 and secured $500,000 investment from a silent partner later in the year. Sigaloff runs Club QT from her Sydney offices with an Australia-based team and international staff working across various time zones. The site was short listed for Best Aggregation Channel in the Online Retail Industry Awards 2011.
