Flight Centre is altering its name to highlight that it offers more than airfares.

The company will be known as Flight Centre Travel Group, if shareholders approve the change at an annual general meeting in October.

MD, Graham Turner, said the new name would reflect the company’s growth into a retailer of many holiday and corporate travel products.

“The board believes the name change is in the companys best interests and reinforces the depth of its business, a strength that is sometimes overlooked,” he said.
