Fair Work appoints Ombudsman

The new Fair Work Ombudsman is Natalie James, a senior manager in the federal Department of Education, Employment, and Workplace Relations (DEEWR).

Workplace Relations Minister Bill Shorten on Friday announced James would take over the role on July 15.

She replaces Nicholas Wilson, who resigned in April.

“Ms James brings a wealth of workplace relations experience to the role,” Shorten said in a statement.
