The Inside Retail audience seems to have a penchant for beer, Lego, and a touch of wit, following our EDM competition last week calling for readers to send in their best email subject line.
The winner receives a free pass to Inside Retail’s Advanced Email Marketing Workshop next month.
Without further ado here are the winners of the free ticket giveaway.
1 – “Beer o’clock 4 o’clock, on a Friday”
It seems we can’t escape a beer on a Friday afternoon, one of multiple beer entries.
2 – “You really don’t need to open this”
Even when we know it’s bad, we need to know it’s bad, it’s great for open rates!
3 – “They thought it was a toy. Then it exploded”
Thought provoking from an Oxfam initiative.
4 – “Charles, here are your free tickets from Inside Retail”
We like a bit of cheek at Inside Retail, and so Charles you deserve a free ticket!
The Wooden Spoon award goes to a rather disturbing entry with the chosen subject line of ‘Please touch me’.
No reader in their right mind would click on a title like this, knowing full well that the email is likely laced with malware, so congratulations for being the best of the worst.
Honourable mentions
– “New Lego has arrived”
Who doesn’t like Lego?
– “If you don’t ask, you don’t get….”
Mildly thought provoking, but not quite enough.
Thank you to all that entered and if you feel you missed out on the opportunity, we still have one more ticket to give away – simply write and tell us the best email subject line you have seen or can come up with.
