Di Bella to relaunch in India
Di Bella, which is yet to name its new Indian partner, will open six stores in India by April.
The Queensland-based chain had 14 stores in Mumbai and two in Hyderabad before its partnership with Sabharwal terminated in September 2013.
“By the end of 2014, we will have 10 outlets,” said Phillip Di Bella, director of Di Bella’s parent company, Espresso Enterprises.
The coffee chain said it is once again ready to compete with local and foreign rivals including Starbucks, which has 34 stores in four cities across India, Cafe Coffee Da, which has more than 1500 stores, and Barista Coffee which has more than 154 stores.
