The development of the 40-plus-year-old centre will span over four levels and include the addition of a new modern Hoyts cinema complex as well as a mix of casual dining experiences and destination brands.
The centre already houses a Cotton On, Hype DC, R.M. Williams, Reject Shop and Priceline.
Slated for completion in mid-2021 the new nine-screen 800 seat cinema will be equipped with Hoyts latest powered recliner seats, two ‘Xtremescreen’ auditoriums and a dine-in luxury experience.
It will be a return to the centre for the cinema giant, which previously had a location in Carillon from 1970-90.
“The transformation of Carillon City will deliver to the Perth CBD a modern, connected retail and leisure experience to further complement the investment that’s underway across the city centre,” Dexus’ head of retail development and asset management, Peter Feros, said.
Amenity improvements will also be delivered in the upgrade.
