Customers pack the boot

Nissan-centre-carCar manufacturer, Nissan, is engaging Australian families with an interactive game highlighting its cars’ larger trunk space.

The interactive gesture control game operates under a similar principle to Wii gaming consoles.

Shopping centre visitors are challenged to virtually fit large items, such as scooters, beach gear, and buckets, into a Nissan car boot.

The game features four settings, including packing a boot for the beach, camping, playground, and a day in the city.

The child friendly campaign is running at several national centres during the January school holidays.

Other activities include face painting, colouring games, and a photo booth.

Nissan is using the campaign to display its cars’ benefits to large Australian families and those with busy lifestyles.

Participants are encouraged to register their interest in Nissan’s X-Trail or Pathfinder vehicles via iPads at the gaming console.

Gamers also receive a Nissan showbag with further information on purchasing and promotional items.

Blair Hamilford, commercial director of Nissan’s activations agency, oOh! Media, said Nissan’s campaigns have pushed boundaries in last six years.

“The success of Nissan’s retail showcases is due to the innovative shopping centre displays and activities which attract millions of families during the school holidays.”
