Jeanswest has opened its largest store in Victoria at the newly revamped Highpoint shopping centre.
The flagship store is the fifth to open under the denim retailer’s new ‘Icon’ design and the first in Victoria. The store’s launch also coincides with the final stage of Highpoint’s $300 million redevelopment.
The Icon design is a larger format for the retailer, based around a modern industrial loft look, featuring exposed ceilings, washed brick, concrete, metal, and wood textures.
At 242sqm, the store houses Jeanswest’s full range of mens, womens, kids, accessories, and denim, and is the first in Victoria to stock Jeanswest’s new jewellery line and expanded maternity collection.
Daniel Le Roy, GM of retail, Jeanswest, says the Icon design allows for an easier shopping experience.
“That space allows us to continually grow the categories and product offering. There’s more room to showcase the product how we intended it, as outfits in a collection rather than just stock on the sales floor,” Le Roy said.
Other features of the Icon design include larger walkways and changerooms, and an increased use of digital such as instore iPads for customers to order stock.
Mark Daynes, Jeanswest CEO, said the store has been designed with the customer at the forefront.
“Smaller counter pods enhance the interaction between our team and customers, fitting rooms are more spacious, while incorporating two larger fitting rooms to accommodate mums with prams who are also accompanied by their little helpers (kids),” Daynes said.
“The Jeanswest iPad buy online instore service provides even more options for customers if they’d like to purchase more styles, delivered directly to their home, work, or store pickup.”
Jeanswest will open four more Icon stores in Western Australia and NSW next year.
The retailer has created a scaled down version of the look for smaller stores, which is currently being rolled out.
Jeanswest has 227 stores across Australia and New Zealand.
