Two thieves have used a sledgehammer and crowbar to smash their way into a supermarket in inner-city Sydney, before robbing it.
Police said the men used the tools to smash through the front doors of the store on Miller Street, Pyrmont, about 11pm (AEDT) on Monday.
Once inside, the robbers threatened the store’s manager who was emptying an ATM.
The manager ran into a room where other staff were hiding and the men made off with money from the ATM.
No one was hurt during the robbery, and detectives are investigating.
