Christmas retail survey launched


xmas treeFor the second consecutive year Deloitte is surveying senior retail executives from across the sector to understand retailers’ expectations for this year’s key trading period.

The 2013 survey closes on September 13 and takes about 10 minutes to complete. Completely confidential, respondents will receive a copy of the report findings prior to the public launch.

Last year 65 per cent of respondents expected less than two per cent of their Christmas sales to come from online. After a slow start, will local retailers increase their percentage of online sales this Christmas?

Looking into 2014 the survey will also gather data on how retailers expect to grow their physical and virtual footprints. The findings will be launched in mid-October exclusively with Inside Retail.
