Two women were injured during the jewellery store robbery in the city’s north exactly two years ago.

The women were setting up for the day before opening the store in Thornbury when a man arrived dressed as a florist, with a clipboard and carrying a large box of flowers.

Police say the man then pushed his way in, pulled out a gun and dragged one of women by the hair away from the front door.

His accomplice then stuffed jewellery into a pillowcase.

Detective Inspector Adrian Dalzotto says a $100,000 reward will now be paid out for any information that will lead to solving the cold case.

“It has been two years to the day that this frightening armed robbery took place and someone out there knows who is responsible,” he said in a statement on Tuesday.

Police have released CCTV footage of the incident.
