Brisbane Airport seeks new retail

Brisbane Airport Corporation (BAC) is calling for food and beverage retailers to participate in a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the right to develop, market, promote, manage, and operate premium food and beverage outlets located at the Plaza North and Plaza South outdoor forecourt areas of BNE’s Domestic Terminal.

This is the first time food and beverage tenancies will be offered outside the BNE Domestic Terminal, creating a significant entry statement at the Domestic Terminal and providing a welcome interface to more than 16 million passengers travelling through this multi-modal transport hub annually.

The two sites – Plaza North and Plaza South – are located at the base of each set of concourse travelators linking the car parks and train station to the terminal face maximising potential customers.

The outlets are intended to trade day and night catering to both travellers, ‘meeters and greeters’ and staff, with offerings ranging from sit down meals, and packaged food and drinks to eat in or take away.

Potential future provision for liquor sales is also an option.

The physical characteristics of the fitout will be vibrant Brisbane/Queensland themed concept with enhanced outdoor trading features including provision of shade, comfortable outdoor seating and temperature/glare sensitive space.

Proposal submissions close at on Friday 13 September 2013.
