Board changes at Helloworld

helloworld600Helloworld has appointed Peter Spathis as non executive director, as Stephen Bennett retires from his position as non-executive director as of today.

Spathis served on the board of Helloworld (formerly Jetset Travelworld) from June 2002 until November 2012 as the appointed representative of Sintack, a substantial shareholder in Helloworld. Sintack has requested Spathis be reappointed to the board in this capacity.

Spathis is an accountant and registered tax agent, and CFO of the Consolidated Travel group of companies, he has responsibility for the financial management of that group. He has more than 25 years’ experience int he travel industry.

Bennett joined Helloworld in April 2011 and has served as a member of the Remuneration and Nominations Committee and the Audit Committee.

Brett Johnson, Helloworld chairman, said he is delighted to welcome Spathis back to the board.
