Birkenhead Point car park to be upgraded

Birkenheadpoint

Mirvac Group announced an upgrade to car park facilities at its Birkenhead Point outlet shopping centre.

The upgrades will see car park facades revamped and entry points enhanced and are expected to be completed in mid 2019.

“Mirvac’s planned car park upgrades respond directly to customer feedback and will greatly improve car park access and circulation,” said general manager for retail development, Narelle Checchin.

“Most importantly, the upgrades will enhance pedestrian safety with better paths of travel.

“Domestic and international tourists will also benefit from a dedicated private coach terminal and improved taxi facilities.

The retail destination launched a redevelopment last year, welcoming brands such as Peter’s of Kensington, Coach, Michael Kors, Harrolds and Bally.

The company also announced a tightening of earnings guidance for FY18 to 15.6 cents per stapled security.

This represents a growth of 8 per cent on FY17, and follows the continued delivery of earnings in the Group’s residential division.

Previous guidance ranged between 15.3 to 15.6 cents per stapled security, the update narrowing in on the high end of that scale.
