An Indian fast food chain is taking fast food to another level with automated restaurants.

Atchayam Foodbox in Chennai boasts food served in 90 seconds.

The store serves everything from light snacks to complete meal combo packs from national restaurants like Adyar Ananda Bhavan, Aasife, and Brothers Biriyani.

Customers order food from their preferred restaurant using a tablet and pay using cards or cash. The food is then served on a conveyor belt from the counter of Atchayam Foodbox.

“It took us three years to create and develop this idea. Very soon we will be taking this concept to other cities,” said founder Satish Chamyvelumani.

“I am confident that every aspect of Foodbox will be thoroughly enjoyed and this model will take customer experience to an all new level.”

There are two Atchayam Foodboxes in Chennai, with another four to be added by 2015.
