The Australian dollar was slightly higher Tuesday and was trading at 74.09 US cents at 0830 AEST, up fractionally from 73.93 US cents on Monday.

One Australian dollar buys 82.247 Japanese yen, from 82.154 ; 63.28 euro cents, from 63.43 ; 56.40 British pence, from 56.39 and 108.56 NZ cents, from 108.72.
