The Australian dollar has slipped Tuesday and is buying 70.81 US cents from 71.09 US cents on Monday.

One Australian dollar buys 79.91 Japanese yen, from 80.07 ; 61.79 euro cents, from 61.75 ; 54.63 British pence, from 54.40 and 108.12 NZ cents, from 107.86.
