The Australian dollar has risen slightly Thursday and is buying 73.11 US cents from 73.03 US cents on Wednesday.

One Australian dollar buys 81.68 Japanese yen, from 81.24 ; 62.47 euro cents, from 62.57 ; 56.15 British pence, from 56.80 and 108.91 NZ cents, from 109.07.
