The Australian dollar has risen and is buying 70.73 US cents, up from Wednesday’s close of 70.13 US cents, but down from Wednesday’s peak of 71.27 US cents.
One Australian dollar buys 79.53 Japanese yen, from 80.59 ; 61.78 euro cents, from 61.91 ; 54.04 British pence, from 54.13 and 109.77 NZ cents, from 109.85.
